Welcome to St. Margaret's

St. Margaret of Antioch, the Parish Church of Barming is a  12th Century  gem. We are located in Church Lane, off South Street,  Barming, Maidstone, Kent. For Sat Nav purposes the post code is ME16 9HA.

The village of Barming is on the outskirts of Maidstone on the way out to Tonbridge. About 6,500 people live here and it is a happy welcoming community.

We have a huge number of affiliated clubs and associations, a growing congregation, and have up to 20 weddings and a great many baptisms every year. We have lots of young families and a thriving youth group ‘The Smoothies’ as well as a Sunday club for younger people. Children are always welcome at our services, especially on the first Sunday when we use our sound and projection systems to full effect. We are approved by Rochester Diocese for Communion before Confirmation.

We are here for the community and try to use the church building as much as possible for community events like concerts and film shows, and are always open to new ideas.

We have a small Mission Church in the centre of the village in Long Rede Lane where more traditional services are held almost every Sunday.
