Meet Our Team
Rev'd Wil North
Rector St Margaret's
I have been the Rector of St Margaret's since January 2013, having previously been in Farnborough Hampshire and Nottingham.
The role of the parish priest is diverse, I have the privilege of coming alongside families and serving them at key stages in life (Birth / Marriage / Death).
I am actively involved with Barming Primary School and I am Chair of Governors.
My vision for St Margaret's is one of growth. Where the church continues to grow as a loving community with Jesus at the centre. Personally in ministry I have three clear passions.
1) Is to help people meet with Jesus in a real and relevant way.
2) Is to help people engage with God's word the bible.
3) To help people recognise their God given talents and to use them in the service of his kingdom.
Beyond the parish boundaries of St Margaret's I have other roles in Rochester Diocese. I am the Malling Area Dean, Lead Vocations Advisor for Tonbridge Archdeaconry and also Rochester Diocese Sports Ambassador.
On a personal level, beyond the collar, I'm a keen runner, regularly play football, always have a book on the go and enjoy spending time with my family.
Co-ordinator of Messy Church and our Ladies Ministry.
My name is Fliss North and I’m passionate about making the good news of Jesus known to people in a relevant way. I head up the fantastic Messy Church team, I also help with the worship at other times such as our first Sunday of the month All Age service and our informal ones too (third Sunday in the morning and first Sunday evenings). I lead a home group on a Monday and am also involved in the Community Prayer team and am a member of the social committee too! Lastly, I organise and host St Margaret’s Ladies Breakfast three times a year.
I am a Lay reader at St Margaret’s and Leader of Men’s Ministry.
Originally a non church person until I was 40, (Then God got hold of me). I was Baptised and Confirmed at 43
I am married with three children, enjoy walking and swimming and was also an ex Scout Leader for Barming.
I am a Pastoral Assistant, happily married with two lovely grandchildren. I run St Margaret's Prayer Initiative with Fliss North and most recently our new venture St Margarets Community Cafe.
I also take one Evening Prayer service a term at Longsole, I am a member of the Informal Service Ministry Team giving talks from time to time.
