Messy Church Fun!

Come along every other Sunday afternoon 4.00 - 5.15 p.m. during term time at the Village Hall, Heath Road Barming, for informal bible stories, singing, prayers, arts and crafts, guest speakers and a picnic tea.

St Margaret's Men's Group

Outreach to the men of the parish. We encourage the men in the parish to engage with each other. We meet at the Redstart at 8:00pm on 1st Wednesday of the month and aim to have a minimum of four activity events each year.

This year we have already participated in a F1 driving event, wine tasting, ice curling, walking weekend in the Peak District and several men's breakfasts with guest speakers.

Ladies & Men's Breakfast Group

We meet three times a year at the Rectory for breakfast at 8.30. There is something for everyone from fresh fruit to toast.  After breakfast about 9.30 we all go next door to Church Cross House for our talk usually from a guest speaker.

Please do join us last time we had a record number of 24 ladies.  Contact Wil or Fliss for more details. 

Barming Prayer Movement

Barming Prayer Movement’ (BPM) is a new prayer initiative for anyone who wants to join.  

We plan to send out by email monthly motivational prayer ideas for you to try as you seek to deepen your walk of faith and see God moving in your life and the lives of those you pray for.


We will also have six prayer meetings a year starting on Monday 5th September 8pm at the Rectory. Please do join us for these if you possibly can. Additionally, you may find it helpful to ask one or more Christian friends to pray with and for you as you embark on this new prayer journey.

Sunday Club For Children

Meets 2nd-4th Sundays at 9.45am for age 4 years and up at Church Cross House, for Bible Stories and arts and crafts.

Yellow Wellies

Churchyard Working Party - the ‘Yellow Wellies’ put in a huge amount of work keeping the churchyard in order throughout the year. We meet on Mondays when the weather is not against us, at 09:30am for a couple of hours of mowing and tidying up. If you would be able to devote an hour of two on Mondays, especially during the summer to giving a hand you will be welcome. We have mowers and a strimmer, but please bring along anything else that may help, particularly any protective clothing you have.

Kingsquad is held every  Monday at Barming Primary School in the mobile classroom 12:30-1:10pm.  The club is for children in years 3-6.

Kingsquad is a Christian club which is organised by the Family Trust and run by members of St Margaret's Church with the full support and approval of the school.

Each week consists of activities such as craft, retelling of bible stories through drama,games and quizzes all of which relate to a particular theme that we deliver through out the academic year.

Come along to our weekly meetings for families and friends of problem drinkers at Church Cross House, every Wednesday evenings 6pm.

St Margaret's Brass Band

Come along and join our Brass Band rehearsals at Church Cross House each Tuesday at 7:30pm.  New members always welcome.

Lunch Club

The lunch club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 12.30pm.
The lunches are well attended by between 15 and 25 people enjoying each other's company. Other activites such as cinema trips are also run by the lunch club.

Bell Ringing

Practice takes place every Friday evening at the Church, 8:00 - 9:15pm  new members of all ages welcome. Learners please arrive at 7:30pm.
