Walking Group

The Walking group meets on the LAST Thursday of each month at 10.00am. We usually meet  at The Bull in Barming but some walks will start from other places as indicated in the programme below. If you need a lift to the venue please contact the walk leader. We walk for about 7 -8 miles and call at a pub for lunch returning to the Bull for about 3.30pm.

         2012 Programme

Day walks are usually held on the last Thursday of the month. (except APRIL (12^th)  and DECEMBER (January 3^rd)) Walks are generally about 7 – 8 miles, occasionally further. Most walks will pass a pub for a drink or a lunch stop. Transport correct as of January 2012.              26^th January         Meet at The Bull at 10.00am Local walk towards East Malling. Lunch at North Pole pub.

             23^rd  February     Meet at The Bull at 10.00am. Walk to Yalding taking bus back to East Farleigh. Lunch at pub near Yalding.

              29^th  March          Meet at Camer Country Park, Meopham at 10.30am. GR649669 on OS Explorer Map 148.                                                   Pub  Lunch at  Meopham Green.

             12^th  April (School Holidays)  Meet at Brenchley Church. GR 680417 on OS Explorer Map 136 at 10.30am for a circular walk                                                             through orchards. Packed lunch.

31^st  May               Meet at Stansted Village Hall  (park by village hall playing field)  at 10.30am. GR606621 on OS Explorer                                   Map 148.                                   Packed lunch.

             28^th June                 Meet at The Bull at 10.00am for a walk in the Loose Valley.            Packed lunch.

             26th July (School Holiday)      Meet at Mereworth Church at 10.15am for a circular walk.        Packed lunch.

 30^th August (School Holiday)  Meet at The Bull at 10.00am for a local area walk.  Packed lunch.

              27^th September    Meet at car park at Hucking GR845581 on OS map 188 at 10.30am. A walk in the Hollingbourne area.

                                                Packed lunch.

              25^th  October         Meet at Ulcombe Church GR847498 on OS Explorer 137 at 10.30am for a circular walk around Ulcombe.

             29^th November      Meet at The Bull at 10.00am Local area walk with lunch at The Tickled Trout

            3^rd January 2013   Meet at The Bull at 10.00am. Local area walk with pub lunch at The Horseshoes.
