Friends of St Margarets

We were formed around ten years ago, our aim being to help to provide finance to keep the fabric of the church in good repair. If you have travelled along the Maidstone to Tonbridge road it is pretty certain that at Barming you will have seen the church which appears to be isolated in a field on the south side of the road. Many people remark as to how pretty the church seems from the road and it is often affectionately referred to as “The Church in the fields”. St. Margaret’s,being an old building whose history goes back to the 12^th century and probably before, needs a lot of upkeep. The next “job to do” on the never ending list is decorating the inside of the building.
